Diego Simeone
Atlético Madrid, 2011–
"My personality as a manager is down to the essence of my family, and of being Argentinian. There are also shades of when I was a footballer in Italy and Spain"
Diego Simeone has established himself as one of the great modern managers over more than a decade in charge at Atlético Madrid. With less in the way of resources than their rivals in La Liga and the Champions League, Simeone's sides have consistently punched above their weight. There have been domestic and European titles, as well as two runs to the Champions League final over the course of his hugely impressive tenure.
He has built one of Europe's most recognisable sides, with its unique style at the top level and has had remarkable success. Speaking exclusively to The Coaches' Voice, Simeone looks back on his journey at Atlético, where he earlier spent five years over two spells as a player, and eventually led them to the peak of Spanish football.
